Two megastars of the NRL have lkeft Rugby League for Australian Rules Football in the last 3 years. 

The first to defect, Karmichael Hunt had a less than stellar first season with the Gold Coast Suns last year, taking part in their bottom of the ladder season and struggling to be fit for all of the games - some even suggesting burn-out. 

His move to the mid-field though looks to have resulted in some promise for the former Broncos number 1, with Hunt even given a seat in the 7 man leadership team this season.

Last night though saw Israel Folau make his debut in the AFL's NAB cup for Greater Western Sydney.  It was an inglorious start for Folau, with the former Bronco and Storm winger managing only 3 decent possessions in the 2 half-length matches.

I am an avid Broncos fan and wish both guys all the best in the AFL, but I do wonder if they will make it to the top of the AFL as they did in Rugby League.
