Shane Watson, himself yet to make it back into the Australian team following injury has come and defended his team mate and Australian Vice Captain Brad Haddin, amid rumours he has been sacked from the One Day side, rather than "rested" as has been stated by Australian Cricket selectors.
Watson stated the following, and to be honest, it is very difficult to disagree with him.
"I actually feel really sorry for Brad at the moment. He's been left in a bit of limbo unfortunately," Watson told reporters on Wednesday.
"He doesn't know which way he's going, whether he's being rested or dropped ... someone who's played an important role over the last five years in all forms of the game for Australia I think definitely deserves to be told either way what his future holds.
"If I was in that same situation, I'd be pretty disappointed."
There is no doubting Haddins form has wained somewhat in the last 6 months and that Matthew Wade has made a great start to his international career. However some loyalty and most definitely, some honesty would go a long way in this case I feel. What would be wrong in having Wade bide his time as Australian 20/20 keeper while Haddin still has so much to offer - both behind the stumps and with bat, but also as Australian Vice Captain.
Tell me what you think.
