Quade Cooper has reported stated in a recent interview that the Wallabies downfall in the 2011 World Cup wasn't just down to his poor form, and that in fact his own form was somewhat hamstrung by the teams's game plan.
Now i'm not sure if some of these sports people are just silly, or whether it is down to their managers not doing a very good job, but surely Cooper being critical of his whole team including coaching staff isn't going to win him many fans.
Cooper was quoted as saying "I went out there and played the football I was allowed to play inside a game plan," Cooper told Australian Associated Press on Saturday.
"It might not have necessarily been the best game plan.
"There was half the games that we didn't play very smart. Whether that was on the back of my shoulders, who knows?"
I have to admit straight up that I didn't hear this interview in context and that the article I read may have taken his words and mixed them to tell a story the journalist wanted to tell - I have no idea. But this fellow's best bet for mine is to get fit and get back onto the footy field and play some entertaining matches for the Reds.
Are you a Quade Cooper Fan??
